Region Finals Formats - Indian National Finals Rodeo

Below are the 3 options for regional finals and what regions will be doing what option.

Option 1

IRCA - NANCA


Finals will be open to:  Top 10 or Top 15 contestants in year-end standings

The 50% rule applies to qualify to the Region Finals and to the INFR.

A member with a sizeable lead in the year-end Region standings and decides not to enter the Finals  and still wins the year-end championship after conclusion of the Finals can still qualify to the INFR.  

Entry Fees and Added Money will be announced no later than 2 weeks prior to opening of Entries.

Finals will be:  3 GO ROUNDS, Points for each round and NO AVERAGE

Year-End Champions will be determined after the Regional Finals and include Regional Finals points.

Finals winner or Sudden Death winner will be determined by total points won over the 3 rounds.

There will be no average points awarded at the finals.

Year End Points will be awarded as follows: 10 -1  PLACES:                                    
Finals Points will be awarded as follows: 10 -1  PLACES: 

1st - 10 6th - 5
2nd -  9 7th - 4
3rd -   8 8th - 3
4th -   7 9th - 2
5th -   610th - 1

Finals Points will be awarded as follows: 10 -1  PLACES: 
1st - 106th - 5
2nd -  97th - 4
3rd -   88th - 3
4th -   79th - 2
5th -   610th - 1
TIES IN POINTS FOR THE YEAR END WILL BE DETERMINED BY MOST MONEY WON FOR THE YEAR INCLUDING FINALS.           

TIES FOR THE FINALS SEAT WILL BE DETERMINED BY A RIDE/RUN OFF AT THE FINALS.

Option 2

WSIRA – UIRA – NPIRA – NNRA – GPIRA – AMAIRA – KMIRA – SWIRA - EIRA


Region Finals will be open to all members who are financial and membership eligible regardless if they have points

The 50% rule applies to qualify to the INFR. 

A member with a sizeable lead in the year-end Region standings and decides not to enter the Finals  and still wins the year-end championship after conclusion of the Finals can still qualify to the INFR.

Entry Fees and Added Money will be announced no later than 2 weeks prior to opening of Entries.

The Finals will be:  2 GO ROUNDS - WITH AVERAGE

Go round and average points will be awarded as follows

1st - 106th - 5
2nd - 97th - 4
3rd -  88th - 3
4th -   79th - 2
5th -   610th - 1

Year-End Champions will be determined after the Regional Finals and include Regional Finals points.

Finals winner or Sudden Death winner will be determined by the fastest total time from both days or the highest total score on two head of bucking stock from both days (i.e. Average Winner).

TIES IN POINTS FOR THE YEAR END WILL BE DETERMINED BY MOST MONEY WON FOR THE YEAR INCLUDING FINALS.           

TIES FOR THE FINALS SEAT WILL BE DETERMINED BY A RIDE/RUN OFF AT THE FINALS.

Option 3

No region selected this option


Region Finals will be open to all members who are financial and membership eligible regardless if they have points.

A member with a sizeable lead in the year-end Region standings and decides not to enter the Finals  and still wins the year-end championship after conclusion of the Finals can still qualify to the INFR.

The 50% rule applies to qualify to the INFR.

Entry Fees and Added Money will be announced no later than 2 weeks prior to opening of Entries.

The Finals will be:  2 Separate Rodeos - NO AVERAGE POINTS or AVERAGE PAYOUTS will be awarded.

Go round will be awarded as follows

1st - 106th - 5
2nd - 97th - 4
3rd -   88th - 3
4th -   79th - 2
5th -   610th - 1

If there is a tie for Sudden Death or Year-end winners going to the INFR there will be a rope, ride or run off at the finals rodeo.

Finals winner or Sudden Death winner will be determined by the fastest total time from both days or the highest total score on two head of bucking stock from both days (i.e. Average Winner).

The Year-end Champions be determined after the Region Finals based on total points including the region finals points.
